Fernanda Montenegro foi laureada pelo Guinness Book por estabelecer um recorde mundial ao realizar uma leitura filosófica de Simone de Beauvoir para um público de 15 mil pessoas no Parque do Ibirapuera, em São Paulo, em 18 de agosto de 2024. A cerimônia de premiação ocorreu na última quarta-feira (13). Durante o evento, a atriz expressou sua gratidão pelo marco histórico. “Milagres acontecem. Nossa cultura é nossa identidade. O teatro é a essência do ser humano ao longo dos séculos. Em qualquer canto do mundo, há alguém compartilhando vivências, trazendo textos que refletem, desafiam ou transcendem o momento vivido, muitas vezes com um toque de humor. Paschoal Moreira Cabral: O martírio de um herói esquecido
Nascido em 1654, na vila de Sorocaba, em São Paulo, Paschoal Moreira Cabral foi moldado desde cedo pelas tradições militares que corriam no sangue de sua família. Filho de um coronel, herdou o ímpeto desbravador e o espírito indômito que marcariam sua jornada pelo interior desconhecido do Brasil colonial. À frente de uma bandeira que partiu em 1699 rumo ao sertão profundo, foi ele quem cravou os primeiros passos na região onde se ergueria, anos depois, a cidade de Cuiabá. Guiado pela esperança de riquezas e pela fé na Coroa, Paschoal e seus homens embrenharam-se pelos sertões hostis, enfrentando as intempéries da mata, os perigos dos rios e o mistério das serras ainda não cartografadas. Retornaria à região em 1716, subindo pelo rio Paraguai e alcançando o rio Coxipó dois anos depois, onde o destino lhe reservaria tanto a glória quanto a desventura. Foi ali, nas margens do córrego do ouro, que Paschoal descobriu valiosas jazidas auríferas e se consagrou como guarda-mor do ouro, arrecadando, em apenas um ano, quatro arrobas – cerca de 60 quilos – do precioso metal, enviados à metrópole como tributo à majestade portuguesa. Contudo, nem mesmo sua lealdade e os frutos de seu labor foram suficientes para protegê-lo da ingratidão. Em um desfecho amargo, foi traído por aqueles a quem fielmente servira. O governador de São Paulo, Dom Rodrigo César de Menezes, influente e ambicioso, o declarou inapto para cargos públicos, desviando a nomeação e os louros para Fernão Dias Falcão. Reduzido à penúria, o velho sertanista, que tanto entregara à Coroa, viu-se à margem da própria história que ajudara a escrever. Em carta pungente ao rei Dom João V, Paschoal implorou por justiça, relatando sua miséria e o abandono em terras que ele próprio havia domado. Mas sua súplica ecoou em vão nos salões da monarquia, perdendo-se entre as intrigas palacianas e a frieza da burocracia colonial. Sem reconhecimento, sem fortuna, restou-lhe apenas a caridade, que exerceu com nobreza entre os desvalidos de Cuiabá, até o último de seus dias. Paschoal Moreira Cabral faleceu em 1730, aos 76 anos, sem as honras que lhe eram devidas, mas não sem deixar raízes profundas. Seus restos mortais repousam sob as pedras da Igreja Matriz do Senhor Bom Jesus de Cuiabá, templo de fé e silêncio, onde sua memória ainda sussurra aos que sabem ouvir. Hoje, séculos depois, o nome de Paschoal ressurge como símbolo de coragem, desbravamento e tragédia. Sua vida, marcada pelo esplendor da descoberta e pelo peso da injustiça, permanece entrelaçada à história da capital mato-grossense — como um herói quase trágico, que abriu caminhos para o futuro e pagou com o próprio esquecimento.

Com o objetivo de fortalecer o Terceiro Setor (como cooperativas, organizações religiosas, associações e fundações privadas), o Ministério Público de Mato Grosso criou uma página web para cadastramento das entidades, que está disponível no menu “Serviços ao cidadão”, em “Entidade do Terceiro Setor”, no site da instituição (acesse aqui). A ferramenta foi desenvolvida pelo Departamento de Tecnologia da Informação (DTI), a pedido da 26ª Promotoria de Justiça Cível de Cuiabá – Especializada em Fazenda Pública e Fundações. Bombeiros localizam corpo de jovem que desapareceu no Rio Teles Pires
O Corpo de Bombeiros Militar de Mato Grosso (CBMMT) localizou, na tarde desta quinta-feira (21.11), o corpo de uma mulher de 21 anos, vítima de afogamento no Rio Teles Pires, nas proximidades da ponte da MT-222, na zona rural de Sinop (a 443 km de Cuiabá). A mulher estava desaparecida desde a manhã de quarta-feira (20.11), quando a equipe do 4º Batalhão Bombeiro Militar (4º BBM) foi acionada por uma testemunha para o resgate. A testemunha relatou que a vítima saltou de uma plataforma flutuante para o rio, emergiu brevemente com os braços para cima e, em seguida, submergiu, não sendo mais vista. Imediatamente, os bombeiros militares se deslocaram até o local e iniciaram as buscas subaquáticas no ponto indicado como local do afogamento. Os mergulhadores realizaram buscas durante o dia, mas não obtiveram sucesso, retornando nesta quinta-feira para dar continuidade às operações. O corpo foi encontrado a aproximadamente 6 km do último ponto de avistamento, boiando no rio. Os bombeiros militares retiraram a vítima da água e a conduziram até as margens do rio, onde o corpo foi entregue à Politec para os procedimentos legais. A Polícia Civil também foi acionada.
